Filming Location - Gastown

Gastown Vancouver, BC
Gastown is a national historic site in Vancouver, British Columbia.  History and beauty with a lively past.

Located at the northeast end of Downtown adjacent to the Downtown Eastside.  Vancouver's first downtown core, and later known as the skid row area of Vancouver.  Now a hip urban neighborhood hangout. Designated a National Historic Site of Canada in 2009.

Gastown's most famous resident
"Gassy" Jack Deighton
Gastown was named after it's most famous resident "Gassy" Jack Deighton, a Yorkshire seaman, steamboat captain and barkeep who arrived in 1867 to open the area's first saloon serving rough and rowdy off-work loggers and fishermen.

Alexander was transformed into the Wild West town featured in
Legends of the Fall (Brad Pitt on left).
As a location for the film industry, Gastown offers many possibilities, from the gritty city streets of a city, to towns of the old Wild West.
